Odile is a Zimbabwe - born contemporary artist based in London whose practice seamlessly bridges scientific enquiry and fine art. She uses an intricate multi media approach spanning graphite, acrylic, watercolour and egg tempera She collaborates with principal curator of mammals at the Natural History museum in London measuring to scale and translating skeletal structures. With a palaeontologist she uses structural drawing to recreate ancient fossilised crabs from fragmented remains. Ultimately her work seeks to honour the fragile blueprint of our natural world.
