Odile is a Zimbabwe - born contemporary artist  based in London whose practice seamlessly bridges scientific enquiry and fine art. Formally trained in Cape Town, she approaches the natural world with an analytical eye.  Whether searching the ancient ridge of a fossil or mapping the fragile geometry of a leaf, drawing is pivotal to her process.. She uses an intricate multi media approach spanning graphite, acrylic, watercolour and egg tempera She collaborates with principal curator of mammals at the Natural History museum in London measuring to scale and translating skeletal structures.  With a palaeontologist she uses structural drawing to recreate ancient fossilised crabs from fragmented remains. Ultimately her work seeks to honour the fragile blueprint of our natural world.  Her work has been exhibited at the Zoological Society of London, The Natural History museum and the Royal Academy summer show, she is represented by the Redfern Gallery in Pall Mall
